Celeberty shrink Dr. Phil cancels show about Britney Spears

After Dr. Phil visited Britney Spears post-meltdown at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, he was quick to report that the pop star was “in dire need of both medical and psychological intervention,” reported BBC News. Now, the host of “The Dr. Phil Show” is canning the plans for taping a show about the singer’s many breakdowns.

Dr. Phil would have taped the show Monday. But, according to Reuters.com, the TV psychologist explained, “Because the Spears situation is too intense at this time, and out of consideration to the family, I have made the decision not to move forward with the taping.”

WHEN WILL BRITNEY SPEARS DIE SEE THE MELT DOWN PHOTOS

Britney Spears was just wheeled out of her home on a gurney by paramedics. Look at that shot of her inside the ambulance -- she's fuckin smilin,.. Once in the ambulance, paramedics can be seen trying to strap her legs down before taking off.








Britney was taken to a local hospital and put on a "medical hold" -- essentially a mental evaluation. Cops found her earlier this evening at her home under the influence of an "unknown substance."

Cops were called to the singers home in Beverly Hills this evening, after she reportedly refused to return custody of her two kids to their father's bodyguard.


UPDATE: Britney has arrived at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. We're told as she was brought out of the ambulance, she flipped off the waiting paparazzi.
